“Digital Movie Making“, the book we have written with Tony Mullen has already got out of the print, I don’t have it yet in my hands but you can see a couple previews at Wiley Publisher’s website and also at Amazon. In both sites there are in display different parts of the book so it is a nice chance to have a look at it if you’re thinking about buying it

After watching the movie in a theater, surrounded by my all-time friends, colleagues and family, and close enough to the screen (maybe too close) I could summarize my experience in one sentence: “I thought it was going to be worse”.

Original story after all these comings and goings changed a lot but still the movie is quite entertaining. Sound work had many highlights and just a few downsides (to my liking anyway). It highlights the image and reinforces comedy punch lines. Music is painfully missing in a couple shots, which turns down a bit the rhythm, but generally speaking is OK, specially the couple songs performed by argentine rock band Smitten. The band choice was one good decision from producers.

About the image… well. Here I’m going to elaborate further as you might expect. 80% or so is acceptable, there is only around a 20% of it that has technical issues which ironically enough, could have been easily fixed… if they had allowed the right people to do what it had to be done.

Thanks to everybody at B-Conf 2009 ! :)))

Well yeah I won Suzanne Award for Best Character Animation 2009 !

This August 14th I’ll be flying to the Bolivarian Lands to give a rigging course to the talented artists recruited by Ernesto Del Valle for his project Historias Nativas.

Besides Ernesto, whom I met in the past Blender Conference, I will meet another venezolan comrade: Xavier “Rendergraf” Araque with whom we shared a few days during the IV Foro del Conocimiento Libre.

And if this was little, there will also be Pablito VenomGFX Vazquez, and nutcase Daniel Zanqdo Salazar, two old fellow adventurers !

My mission will be to explain how to rig a thing in Blender and introduce the guys to the Blender Animation System. I hope to satisfy everyone’s expectations and not to forget how to parent one bone to the other ! !
