About me
Let’s see… professionally speaking I am a chemical engineer. I worked 10 years in nuclear field research so… what am I doing animating stuff with Blender ?
I started with Blender in 1999. I was looking for some linux CAD software to replace AutoCAD. I failed but in the process I met Blender and I got hooked with it. I turned myself into a character animator, rigger, and 3D artist in general.
Since then I have participated in many animation projects, some for TV. Besides my regular work as a digital artist I work actively in Blender difussion. During the past years I have given many lectures and workshops in both national and foreign universities, I have taught 3D character animation, coordinated the Blender documentation traslation to spanish for quite some time, and even written some chapters of the Official 2.3 Blender Guide.
I have co-founded Manos Digitales Animation Studio, which is producing “PlumÃferos” a 3D animation movie made with Blender and other open source tools.
I became a BFCT (Blender Foundation Certificate Trainer) and lectured at Blender Conference a few times.
After leaving Manos Digitales, I co-founded Licuadora Studio, and as such we have done visual effects for movies, character animation, realtime visualizations and other digital magic.
